In Hinduism, Khatushyam is a name and indication of Barbarika, child of Ghatotkacha. This appearance is particularly well-known in the Indian state of Rajasthan and Haryana. The actual Sanskrit name Barbarika is changed in Rajasthan by the Hindi form, Barbarik, frequently composed as Barbareek.
Barbarika had acquired a boon from Krishna such that he would be known by Krishna’s own name “Shyam” in the Kaliyuga period (currently ongoing) and worshiped. Krishna had proclaimed that Barbarika’s worshippers would be blessed just by professing his name from the base of their souls. Their wishes would be conceded and difficulties uprooted if they adore Shyamji (Barbarika) with a genuine devotion.
